Acre is supposed the new ‘Grounds of Alexandria’ but in Camperdown. Don’t get me wrong – I like the Grounds, but I hardly ever go because the parking is atrocious, it’s always ridiculously packed and you always have to queue. So while it’s nice when […]
Nearly three years ago, JL and I first stepped into the original Yardbird in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. It was an incredible experience, dining at the bar and checking out all the action happening around us. So when I heard Yardbird were popping up in Sydney, I […]
As Textbook Boulangerie Patisserie just announced they’re making a blue croissant, I thought it was time to look back on their famous truffle croissant, that drove food bloggers and normal people alike quite mad.

Hi!
My name is Ellen and I started talk&spoon sometime around the end of 2012.
I've gone through phases of wanting to grow the blog, getting tired of writing, getting tired of eating, getting too busy to write, missing blogging loads - but my aim has always been to share my eating experiences with you in a food-focussed manner - i.e. you won't see that much about drinks because I don't drink alcohol or coffee.
