Ramen is the perfect winter food – don’t you agree?
We stumble off a cold, drizzly Berlin street into the warms of this edgy ramen bar – Cocolo Ramenbar in the hip Berlin suburb of Kreuzberg. Snacks in the form of Edamame and warm drinks in the form of Rice Tea are our first priority.
If you like noodles, you really can’t get past the hot soupy goodness of ramen – especially on a wintry day when it has been dark since 3:30pm. I haven’t had that many good experiences with Asian food in Germany so this ramen joint really surprised me. Solid ingredients and flavour in the Shoyu Ramen (€8.50) as well as the Tonkotsu Ramen (€9.50).
Oh man, I do wish it wasn’t too hot for ramen in Sydney at the moment! Take me back to Berlin, plz.
