agnès b. – fashion label to most, but in Hong Kong they have several restaurants, cafes, patisseries and a florist. S and I were hanging around the International Finance Centre (ifc), which is actually a massive mall and not just an office block, and decided to drop into the agnès b. patisserie there for a snack.
- What we ate:
There is an interesting variety of drinks available, all a slightly different take from your typical coffee and tea. S. had the Rose Latté which featured some delicate dried rose petals strewn on top of your normal latté, as well as a hint of rose syrup in the coffee. I had the Marco Polo tea, to be had without milk (although I snuck some in) which was a beautiful fragrant black tea. We also shared the Carla – a mini cake made of mango purée, vanilla bavarois and vanilla sponge cake. Not a massive fan of mango myself, so here is S.’s analysis of it: “It’s like… Western mango pudding.”
