
I have posted about Kakawa before, because their chocolates are absolutely awesome (and the people that run the shop are too!). Their beautiful creations for Easter are always a hit, and this year I chose the Praline Filled Egg ($22) to join in on the Easter cheer but also to get a great selection of pralines. It’s a surprise what is actually in the egg, so you won’t know until you take a bite!
From our diligent tasting, the Mother and I concluded that these were the flavours (L-R):
Apricot Fruit Jelly
Hazelnut Ganache
Dark Chocolate Ginger
White Chocolate and Rum (unsure about this one though…)
Hot Cross Bun
Apricot Fruit Jelly again
With Kakawa chocolates I feel like I’m holding a precious treasure in my hands. Every bite is a joy, the flavours subtle enough not to overwhelm but still clearly there to make you smile. But how they make the hot cross bun praline actually taste like a hot cross bun is really beyond me!!!
