In Sydney, we are used to great cafe culture. In London, with all it’s chain cafes and restaurants, this may seem harder to come by. However, with the help of Twenty Something London, DS and I were able to find Kaffeine – a place with sandwiches, salads, coffee and cute little wooden crates that double as chairs and tables. If you’re wondering why the coffee is so good – it is Australian/New Zealand owned!
- What we ate:
DS had a macchiato which comes with this refreshing tea to cleanse your palate afterwards. He also had a French retro baguette with chorizo, tomato, red onion, pesto and rocket (£4.90), while I opted for the Foccacia with sea salt and rosemary crust, with ham, gruyere, gherkin, dijon, pickled onion, spinach (£5). I found the mustard slightly too hot in mine, so DS and I ended up swapping and I devoured half of his baguette. I also couldn’t resist this super cute and colourful fruit cup (£3.70) which you can also get with extra yogurt!
