“It’s like… Asian Starbucks.” – S., referring to the popularity of this cafe.

Asians love their dessert. Asians also love anything containing mango and sago in particular. These two ingredients make up basically 90% of the desserts at Hui Lau Shan, a popular dessert destination that can be found on almost every street corner of Hong Kong.

  • What we ate:

S. had her favourite mango, sago and pomelo thing…The exact name of it is unknown to me. It basically looks like mango shaved ice in a soup of sago, with some pomelo drizzled on top to balance out the flavour. I had three delicate mango mochi covered in shredded coconut, in which was a small cube of fresh mango. A great snack for any time of day.
